Star Wars is the name of the game for the Team Name Game Finals! I want to get this out of the way first before I get to the judging. Last Week’s loss to Mokass in the Team Name Game Semifinals has absolutely NO bearing on how I will judge this matchup. It’s not Mokass’ fault that Moses stinks.
So, to the very Han Solo centric team names.
McKisselRunN12Parsex – I had to check Mokass’ roster like three times to make sure I wasn’t missing somebody on his team named Par or sex or Run. I didn’t account for the “N” I assume he wouldn’t stoop THAT low for a team name.
I just checked again and it seems to be only JD McKissic. I like this name but it has one blemish. A 12 Parsec run is garbage. Han did it in UNDER 12 Parsecs. So why is Mokass celebrating losing? Could be a sign of things to come.
ClevLando CalBreeson – Lando! Listen to this description of Lando: “Lando made a career as a gambler, con artist, playboy, mining engineer, and businessman.” Guy is a MFing roller and then gets to be portrayed by Donald Glover (TROY!!) in Solo. Not bad. I’m a big fan of using full players names (take notes, Mokass) and yoss got two here with Cleveland and Brees. HOWEVER I am not a fan of mispronouncing characters names in the team names. I’m being a stickler but Calrissian should have at least been Calbreesian!
Bottom line: Mokass used 75% of a players name, Yossi used 100% of 2 players names. Both botched certain aspects of their names. In the end I couldn’t get past the Yoss pronunciation error and Lando DID lose the Millennium Falcon to Han Solo who then completed the (under) 12 parsec run…..so your winner is MOKASS.
